December Fundraiser
The Alpha Women’s Pregnancy Center is a Christian pregnancy crisis center that provides free, confidential pregnancy tests, essential pregnancy information, medical help, discussion about your pregnancy, and free baby items: clothing, formula, diapers, etc. Their goal is to share the Gospel of Jesus with you and help you realize you have choices outside of abortion and to make the best decision for your unborn child.
Annually, Souls Harbor Baptist Church hosts a baby bottle change fundraiser. Empty baby bottles are available at the church during the fundraiser. Anyone who’s interested is encouraged to take a bottle, fill it with change, and return it to the church on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (3rd Sunday in January). All the change raised will be donated to Alpha Women’s Pregnancy Center.
The Food Pantry

Every Thursday from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., our food pantry doors are open. The food pantry is open to the public, and is listed with 2-1-1. Donations are accepted and can be dropped off during the pantry operating hours or at the church kitchen during any service.
Tarry One Hour
Souls Harbor Baptist Church has partnered with Tarry One Hour to peacefully protest abortion at the Illinois Planned Parenthood locations. We hand out pamphlets about pregnancy and abortion and pray with those who are willing. We believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is wrong. There are so many alternatives to abortion. Won’t you join us in proclaiming Christ’s love of every unborn child by explaining to others when life begins and how they can choose to keep their baby?
Fall Family Festival
Last Saturday of September
Weather permitting, on the last Saturday of September, Souls Harbor has a fun outdoor activity for the whole family. Open to anyone who’d like to come! We have a bounce house, yard games, pumpkin painting, and a delicious meal. This is a great opportunity to invite your neighbors, friends, and co-workers to a fun, fall-themed activity.
First Responders Sunday
First Sunday of September
Every year, Souls Harbor Baptist Church honors all our first responders, from firefighters to paramedics to our police. Please join us in honoring those who serve such a vital role in keeping our community safe! Not every first responder is able to participate, so we come to them. Typically 1-2 weeks before First Responder Sunday, families in the church bake cookies which are taken to a number of police district stations & fire houses. We have also taken cookies to our Fire & Police dispatchers for National Telecommunicators Week in April.
